Good See Co. is a Venice Beach eyewear brand with the largest selection of designer sunglasses and optical frames in the country, over 200 brands and 70,000 items in stock. They've served their coastal neighborhood for 35 years, but their email was another story: no flows, no process, and design done on the fly. FlowCandy built the retention system from the ground up, then handed it back for their team to run.

Run by no system
Good See Co. had no automated flows live at all. Every bit of retention revenue leaned on campaigns someone sent out by hand, so the automated side of email, the part that keeps earning while no one touches it, wasn't there yet.
No process behind the sends
Email got made with no repeatable system. There was no set way to move a send from idea to inbox, so the program only moved when someone found the time to push it.
Design done on the fly
The look changed from one send to the next. With no set style or reusable pieces to work from, every email started from a blank page, and none of it felt like one brand.
GOAL #1
Establish a cohesive flow strategy that converts more of the people already moving through the funnel.
GOAL #2
Build out every missing flow, plus campaigns, to create a full retention foundation.
GOAL #3
Map the larger retention strategy so the brand keeps growing after the 90-day accelerator ends.
We started with a full journey map, tracing every path a customer takes from first visit to repeat order, then built the flows to match. Eight core flows went live where there had been none: a welcome series, browse and cart and checkout abandonment, post- purchase, winback, and a sunset flow to keep the list clean. Each one was tied to a real stage of the buying journey, not bolted on because the flow had a name.
All of it runs on a custom Email Design System, a set of reusable blocks in Figma and Klaviyo that keeps every send on-brand and lets the team build new emails without starting over. We restored deliverability, built out an eight-email transactional suite and a new multi-step opt-in, and added a set of bonus review flows to turn happy customers into social proof. Then we trained the team on the whole system and handed it back for them to run.
